Hi I'm Shelly (or Shelene)

I have a wonderful husband, 2 dogs and a cat. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have a hard time describing myself because I find myself quite boring. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I like to read, sew, start a million different projects and yet not quite complete them. There are times I really think I have ADD.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized in the church at 8. I went to church and did things as I grew up knowing them. When my father passed away, I strayed for many years due to anger, grief, etc. amongst many things. I've recently come back because I know in my heart this is right. It's always been there in ways varying from the very small to very much in my face. I've tried to distance myself for a time but I don't think Heavanly Father wanted that for me. I know I'm supposed to be apart of this. I'm not sure what the grander plan is but I know that having the gospel in my life and constantly searching for ways to have a better understanding of it is part of the plan. As much as things seemed to be ok without the gospel or the church in my life, it was more of a prison than I knew. I find myself happier and with a lot more freedom in life when I follow the teachings of Christ and the Church.

How I live my faith

I spend time trying to find talks, music, or scriptures everyday so that I might be an example to others and stay on this path.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Shelly (or Shelene)
We can increase our faith in Jesus Christ by diligently searching the scriputres daily. Setting a time and quite place everyday to read and reflect upon the scriptures can help us draw closer. Serving others, no matter how small, surround ourselves with people who are kind and good, and praying are other ways to come closer to Christ. Always be mindful and respectful in thought and deed.
