Hi I'm Eric

I grew up in Utah, I love to play soccer and spend time with my family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student, and I love learning. It has always been my dream to learn as much as I can and I have been pursuing that since I was a little kid. I love to read books about almost anything, but I also love to play sports, which has been a huge part of my life. I especially love to play soccer, but I also enjoy ping pong, basketball, football and dodgeball. I love working hard because of the sense of accomplishment that it brings, but I also know when to have fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of the peace and happiness that being a member has brought me. It is the best way that I have found that I can follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, be around people that have the same standards, and that I can be happy. I have come to know that this church is His because I have experienced it for myself. I know that when we do what is asked of us and follow the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we are happy. That knowledge and the fullness of doctrine contained in the church help build my testimony that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in my calling as an FHE group leader. FHE stands for Family Home Evening, which is just a time that we set aside once a week to spend time together and learn and grow and have fun together. Since I am at college, my FHE group is made up of other college students, and I have a co-leader with which I help plan fun activities for our group. Some of the things that we do are have family dinner, go hiking, play sports, participate in local service organizations, and we even made pinatas once! The purpose of FHE is to grow and learn, but also to just be able to take a break and relax from the crazy college life that can at times be really stressful. I have loved serving in this calling and have been able to grow really close and make a lot of new friends because of it.
