Hi I'm Keri

I'm from California. I served a mission in Washington DC. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Southern California in a loving family of 6 humans, 3 cats, 1 dog and a small army of fish. I have three younger siblings and watching them grow up is such a joy and also terrifying.. My family is all about joking around. Seriously there has probably never been a more sarcastic group of people! In high school I spent my time playing volleyball, taking advantage of all the awesome things to do in Southern California, and participating in church activities! After graduating I packed up and left for Utah, where I study business at BYU. One day I hope to own my own non-profit business and spend my time helping people all over the world!! I served a mission in Washington DC where I developed a love for people and cultures and food from places I've never heard of before, and of course, sharing the Gospel as well! I love all things musical and also all things outdoors, especially hiking, camping, and paddle boarding to name a few. Life is so good. I am so blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because nothing in this world brings me more joy. The Gospel of Jesus Christ allows us to be truly happy as we strive to become like Him and return to live with our Heavenly Father one day. I know that Christ knows each of us personally and atoned for our sins, and died for us that we might be resurrected. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he restored His church in the latter days. I also know that we have a living prophet today, just as in times of old, who gives us guidance and direction which helps us choose the right and live righteously. The knowledge of these things have gotten me through so many hard times in my life, and I know that the same can help others as well!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by focusing on the small and simple things-- prayer, scripture study, church attendance. I've come to know that it really is those basic principles that keep us afloat no matter what is going on in our lives, be it good or bad, sad or happy, challenging or blissful. By centering my life on the Savior and His atonement, I know I can always live my faith, increase my testimony, and be an example as I share that light with those around me.
