Hi I'm Cecil

I grow up in Nevada. Worked as an accountant, and Justice of Peace. I love growing Pomegranates. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a great grandfather. I am a retired Accountant and Justice of Peace, but still do Income Tax for individuals. I attended college in Utah where I studied Accounting, then I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for two years. I then married, my wife and I have 9 children and raised them in a small community. I enjoy visiting with each of them and our 42 grandchildren, plus our 19 great grandchildren. I enjoy working in the garden, going hunting and fishing. I have enjoyed playing sports when I was younger, but now just enjoy watching sports in the comfort of my front room. I enjoy listening to good music, my heart is touched with songs of our Savior I love this land we live in and take a great interest in its past and its future. I loved being involved in projects in helping our community be a better place to live. I also am interested in how our Country is run.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and have been a member all my life. I am a Mormon because I know that God lives and loves us and wants us to return to live with him. I know the only way we can do that is to repent of our sins, be baptized, received the gift of the Holy Ghost, and endure to the end. I know that His plan of Happiness will help us all live our lives in harmony with His teachings. As a young man of 20 I served a mission for our Church for two years sharing this message. My wife and I served a mission for 23 month, serving in the Mission Office in South Africa, helping young missionaries share that message to the wonderful people of South Africa. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will make anyone, anywhere, happier. That anyone who listens and believes the teachings will be blessed in coming closer to our Savior and be saved from their sins. I am a Mormon because I want my family to be together forever and the only way we can be together forever is if all of us stay faithful to those teachings . I know that for us to return to live with our Father in Heaven, when life is over here on earth, we much stand for truth and rightness, and encourage others to do the same. I am grateful to a loving Heavenly Father who was willing to suffer and die for each of us that we might all enjoy life here on earth and live again with our family and Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

In our community I have served on the Town Advisory Board, while there we were able to get a community Center that gave our community a place for meetings, parties, weddings, and Summer activities for the children. I served on the Valley Water Board, helping to improve the water system and finding better water for our community. I served on the Boosters Club President, while there I helped in the sports events as the Pubic Address Announcer, and in organizing and collecting money for equipment for School Activities. In our Church I have served as a Youth Leader, as a Finance Clerk, as Membership Clerk, and as Councilor of a number of Bishoprics, and have served as a Bishop. I have helped to organize and participate in trips for our school and our Church Youth. I enjoy growing fruits and vegetables and sharing them with others. Plus anything we have that is needed by others I love sharing with them. But most of all I love our family, I have tried to live my life to be a good example to each of them. Teaching them to appreciate good hard work and a love for our Savior. To be honest in everything they do, to be willing to help others, no matter what. To be forgiving and to forget, and go on in life with love for others.
