Hi I'm Megan

I've lived in the USA all my life, in a few different states. I'm preparing to serve a mission in Colorado Springs. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old, I graduated high school, I'm a swimmer, I enjoy theater & music, and love the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've seen the Lords hand in my life in daily simple tasks and events as well as big life choices. I know that the savior died for me & my trials & sins.

How I live my faith

I attend a Young Single Adult ward near my house, and plan a monthly activity with my committee. I follow the commandments & study the scriptures daily as I prepare to serve a mission for The Lord.

What are Mormon temples used for?

Megan
Temples are used by worthy church members to do work for the dead as well as work for themselves. We make sacred covenants inside the temple to help us reach our ultimate goal- to live with our Heavenly Father and our families in heaven. The temple is a peaceful place on earth to learn, grow, and covenant. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Megan
Yes yes yes. We believe the Bible and the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, as long as it is translated correctly. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

Megan
Joseph Smith was wondering what church he should join, so he went to a grove of trees to pray after reading James 1:5 in the bible. He prayed to God and asked which of the churches was right, and God and Jesus Christ came to him and told him that none of the churches were right, and that he was to restore the only true church to the earth. Joseph Smith history has the entire story in more detail. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Megan
To me, faith is knowing that something is true even when you can't necessarily see that it is. if you can't see it, how do you know it's true? I like to use the analogy of love. You feel it. I can say that I love my brother, but I only know that I love him because I personally feel that love inside me. I can say that I know this is the true church because I personally can feel it inside me, because I have faith. Show more Show less
