Hi I'm Shawn

I grew up in the lds church with a strong active family. I enjoy the outdoors and recreational activities. I am a proud mormon.

About Me

I am currently preparing for my mission. I am called the Utah Provo Mission and depart on august 19th. I love to rock climb, play sports, go on adventures, play board/card games, and camping. I enjoy making people smile and/or laugh, and making new friends. I plan on attending BYU-I after my mission and preparing for a career on which I don't know yet.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a mormon since I was born into the lds church. I see the blessings that come from it and know that the things that come from it are from god. I know that when I am true and faithful to the doctrine and the things I am taught or advised to do, I am always happy. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel of Jesus Christ through hard work and dedication. I know Heavenly Father sent his son to atone for all our sins, was crucified and died on the cross, and rose again on the third day. He loves each and everyone of his children and wants nothing but the best for them. I also know that we all have our agency and it is our choice to follow christ and strive to be like him each and everyday. It is hard sometimes since the adversary tempts us everyday and tries to make us fall and makes us feel like we don't deserve our salvation, but I know that when we follow christ and keep his commandments we are happy and will feel the love of christ. I am so glad I have always been a Mormon and I am grateful for the opportunity to spread the message and gospel of Jesus Christ to others on my mission.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and love to help with any service the church is apart of. I go home teaching with my dad and enjoy getting to know the families. I try to be an example to others through my actions, the words I speak, and the things I spend time in, basically the person I portray to be.
