Hi I'm Sheridyn

I love my family and my friends. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from high school a year ago, and I look forward to going to college to study music once I return from my 18 month mission. I have played the guitar since I was 14 years old, and I have been singing and writing songs since I can remember. I have wonderful parents and 3 beautiful sisters. I love spending time with my family and creating fun memories with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I've chosen to be a member of His church because I know that this is the only way to obtain true joy and peace in my life. The blessings that are promised in the Book of Mormon are so abundant and it brings me so much happiness to know that there is a plan for me, designed by my Heavenly Father who knows me personally and loves me so much that He sent His Son to die for me and atone for my sins. I would not be the person I am today if not for the Gospel and the role it has played in my life. I can't imagine how lost or alone I would feel without the relationship I have with my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. Coming to Christ is a constant decision, that we have to make daily. Once that decision becomes a habit, that habit becomes apart of you and you begin to have a Christ-centered life. I love that this Gospel is all about progression. God doesn't expect us to be perfect, especially not on our own, but He loves when we progress. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that we truly are blessed to have it today. Joseph Smith did indeed restore the Gospel, and was a true prophet. The Atonement is real, and it is so powerful. Without the healing and enabling power of the Atonement, I would not be able to achieve all that it is I want to achieve--not even close. I love this Gospel and I am grateful for my testimony because it brings me hope every single day for my future and for the future of my family. This is the only true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my Church meetings every Sunday. It is so important to me that I renew myself each week by taking the Sacrament and feeling like I am ready to start a new week. I have served as a Ward Chorister in the past, and I enjoyed being able to stand and lead the music to the congregation on Sunday's. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to use my talents to show my faith. I also have served as a teacher of the women of my ward. I teach one Sunday a month, and I have learned so much in doing so.
