Hi I'm Daniel

I grew up in Utah. I'm a convert. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Though it sounds corny, i love to learn new things and have new experiences. I love exploring cultures and other places. I have been a member now for 1 year and nine months; I was baptized in August of 2014. I have a great family who are supportive in me finding my way to Christ. They are not members, my mother and brother are Catholic and my Father is Baptist. They are loving and kind people. I am the oldest son of my family. My hobbies include: writing, drawing, painting, studying random topics, filming and weight lifting. I have a fascination of the relationship between art and science. The Restored Gospel has changed my life for the better. I had a great friend who introduced me to the Church. Eventually I met with missionaries, and now I'm going on my mission this May (2015). I am so happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Before i was a member, I always knew I loved Christ and God. This faith was instilled in me when I was growing up by my parents. My father's side of the family are Baptist and my mother's side are catholic, so i've always grown with many views on religion. I considered myself a Catholic growing up, but i always felt something was missing in my life, a piece of the puzzle. Don't get me wrong I had happy moments in my life and felt the influence of Christ very much, but I felt I needed something. I was introduced to The LDS Church through a dear friend of mine. She helped me meet with missionaries and during those lessons I felt the very thing i was missing, The Spirit (The Holy Ghost). I felt a burning in my heart (The Holy Ghost), edifying to me the truthfulness of what they taught. I read the first vision of Joseph Smith, and I was amazed how Joseph Smith was able to receive an answer through prayer. I decided to do the same, and I prayed about The Book of Mormon, if it were true. I prayed with true intent and an open heart, and the answer i received was, "yes." And I have held on to that truth, and slowly my testimony in all aspects of the Gospel has grown, and my foundation has been built in Christ. I love the relationship I have grown between my self and The savior Jesus Christ, and God. Its grown my understanding, and has placed me on the Plan of Happiness. I am truly happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by keeping my covenants (promises) with The Lord which i made when I was baptized. This includes living the word of wisdom. I drank coffee ever since I was a child, and when i gave up coffee I saw miracles in my life. I was blessed with a healthy body and growing my testimony in following The Lord. I read and study the scriptures daily. I stand by the standards set by the Church, and by striving to be more Christ like.
