Hi I'm Grace

I like making people smile. I'm a Sister Missionary and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Grace. I have a have five brothers, two sisters, a mom and a dad and I love them all. We go camping, hiking, fishing, and canoeing together and have a blast doing it. I play the flute and the trumpet. I also enjoy singing with my little sister. I'm not very good at it, but it's fun and music helps me feel the spirit. I also love to draw pretty much everything.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of the church and so I was raised in the church. However I am not a Mormon simply because my parents are. I am a Mormon because I found out for myself through prayer, studying the Book of Morman and acting on its teachings, that the church is true. It brings joy to my life in a way that nothing else ever has or ever could. I know that God answers prayers and that He loves each and everyone of us because we are His children. And because He loves us, He has blessed us with prophets here today as in times of old to lead and guide us, and scriptures to teach, comfort and instruct us. I love the Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ and my life without them would be nothing.

How I live my faith

I am a primary teacher in our ward. I love primary, it really helps you remember the simple building blocks of the gospel. The children have taught me to find happiness in the little things in life. I try to live my faith everyday by being an example of Christ through my actions toward others and the way that dress and speak. Christ teaches us in the scriptures to love others and I try to follow that example. I am also preparing to serve a full time mission. The gospel brings so much joy and light into my life and I love sharing it with others. My favorite scripture is Alma 36:24. It explains exactly how I feel about the gospel. I love my Heavenly Father and I know that He loves me. He blessed me with a very big family and I love spending time with them, I want to be with them forever and by following Gods plan I know that we can. I want other families to have that same opportunity too.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

We are given the gift of agency, the ability to make our own choices and learn right from wrong and learn how to be like our Father in Heaven. Consequently, as part of the learning process, we make mistakes. Because we are imperfect, Christ came as our Savior and suffered for all the sins of the world, past, present and future, in the Garden of Gethsemane so that we can be forgiven of our sins and become clean again. We can apply the atonement in our everyday lives by, repenting when we make wrong choices, and turning the God and letting Him help us change and become better people. Show more Show less
