Hi I'm Bonnie Rexeus

I'm a Mormon, have been most of my life.

About Me

I am a mother of a Boy and a Girl. I have 2 Step Sons and 1 Step Daughter. 1 Step Grand Daughter and 1 Grandson. I have 5 Brothers, 3 Step Sisters, 1 Half Sister, 2 Adoptive Sisters and 2 Adoptive Brothers. I also have 13 Nephews, 5 Nieces and 2 Great Nephews. Of my family (biological) My Son and oldest Brother are also members. Otherwise our family is Catholic or Baptist and probably a few Atheists. I was introduced to the Church through a friend of the family, when she took me to Church to introduce me to my future Grandparents, as she commented on how much I looked like one of their Grand Daughters. I became a member at 12. I later introduced my Best Friend to the Church, she was later Baptised

Why I am a Mormon

Because I can personally testify in the power of the Holy Ghost which is our Heavenly Fathers gift to us, to guide us and support us during rough times. I know that Joseph Smith was a true Profit and that he was called upon by God to restore his Church here on earth so that we may reap the benefits of having the Church in our lives. I believe that we all have a calling to do the Lords work and that some of us have yet to hear or receive our calling. I know the Book of Mormon is Gods word and that along with the Bible, it is here to help us and to teach us, so that one day we can stand before our Heavenly Father and Jesus and be worthy to join them and rejoice with them in Heaven. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.. May God be with us all during these hard times..

How I live my faith

I live my Faith through my Family and Friends. I help People when needed and with what I can. I have strong Family values and I accept People from all walks of life. I believe that Everyone has a purpose or we would not be here. God sent us to live, learn and to teach as well as follow his teachings. Everyone is the same in the eyes of Jesus and our Heavenly Father. I try to live my life in a way that everyone around me benefits from my wisdom. I know I have a long way to go and much more to learn before I can consider myself worthy to stand before Jesus and my Heavenly Father.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Bonnie Rexeus
Women attending services most likely will be wearing dresses which come to their knees at least, stockings if they wish or can tolerate them :), Skirts and a blouse or t-shirt their shoulders will be covered and no cleavage will show, in milder terms they dress modestly, Men most likely will wear a suit, most will have ties, but they can also wear jeans and t-shirts.. It depends on how you were raised or what you feel is appropriate to wear in Gods house. Some women wear pants which is acceptable as well, the main point is that you come to Church not what you are wearing. L.D.S. members celebrate all Holidays, the two most important ones being Christmas and Easter because of Jesus Christ's Birth, Crusifiction and Resurrection , ThanksGiving, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Labor Day and other National Holidays depending on which Country the members live in. Family is very important to the Church so is Celebrating with and for them.. We even have Mondays set aside as "Family Home Evening" which the family does different activities together. there are also numerous activities for Church members to gather. We do not Worship any other God or the Cross. And no we do not practice or condone Poligamy. Show more Show less
