Hi I'm Ashlyn

I grew up in Cheney, Washington. I will serve a mission in Tampa, Florida for 18 months, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a soccer fanatic! I have played it my whole life and continue to surround myself with it. I tore my ACL in 2013 which ended my soccer career but I still love it. I enjoy being outdoors and hiking anywhere and everywhere. Family is the most important thing in my life. I enjoy learning new things like how to fix cars and cook new things. I want to travel the world and backpack the mountains of Peru. Life is wonderful and something to always treasure.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Savior Jesus Christ. He died on the cross for all of my sins and short-comings; He died for you and me so we can repent and return home to our Heavenly Father. He is the perfect example of love and sacrifice and endless mercy which is the greatest blessing of all. The true church is upon the earth today because of a young man named Joseph Smith who had a question to know which church to join and he received an answer from Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon was restored to this earth for our time and I know it is true because I have faith. I love being a Mormon because it blesses my life daily and gives me the greatest hope in the world.

How I live my faith

I have always been very involved with my church and community. My favorite calling of all was being a ward missionary because I was able to go out with the sister missionaries and teach lessons with them. I was able to be more fully involved with the missionary work that was going on in my ward. In the community, I helped coach soccer camps and also cleaned up parks full of garbage with the youth of the church and volunteered whenever possible where I lived.
