Hi I'm Matthew

I'm a huge football fan, I love humanitarian trips, and I am serving as missionary in the Texas McAllen Mission! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a freshman in college, and I love sports! Especially football!! Traveling is something I like to do and have had to become accustomed with. My family has moved all over in the West and down South. It has been a great experience, and I have had the privilege of meeting and befriending many amazing people. There have been some challenges in my life which were difficult to get through. When I was 12 years old I had an accident with a lawnmower and the result left me without four of the toes on my foot. This was an immense trial for me, but it was also an amazing blessing! I know that because of that experience I am stronger, and ultimately a better person. Right now I decided to take a break from school, and serve a mission. I have been called to serve in the great state of Texas, and I plan on enjoying every minute I have to serve there!

Why I am a Mormon

I have the amazing privilege to be the son of two wonderful members of the church. As a kid they taught me the importance of going to church and living righteously. As I have grown up I have developed a testimony beyond the basics I was taught at church and by my family. Through my experiences I have gotten to know of a surety that I have a Father in Heaven. Even when I was having the hardest time in my life, and going through the most physically, spiritually, and emotionally taxing time in my life I found that leaning on the Lord and trusting in Him made everything easier and more bearable. I know that my Heavenly Father is there for His children, and he is always there and wants us to be happy.

How I live my faith

I love to participate and help out with activities for church. I try to help out wherever I can, and I really enjoy going to service projects. I find helping out is a great way to meet new people, and make really good friends. I am asked fairly frequently to teach the teenagers on Sundays. I love doing this because it helps me get to know them, and see what they are doing in church, school, or for their hobbies.
