Hi I'm Shelby Williams

Wanna-be comedian, Lover of adventure, All about good people and good memories, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Last year I graduated from high school where I spent most of my time in the dance, choir and cooking programs there. I now have just recently finished my first semester in college where I am planning to major in Elementary education with an emphases on special needs. I am huge on family and my wonderful group of friends. I am a firm believer that laughter is medicine for the soul. I love meeting new people, anything outdoors, movies, naps, FOOD and don't really care what i'm doing as long as it's with the people I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and two of the main things that have always helped my testimony stay strong is first the teachings of eternal families, that fact that we will be able to be with our loved ones for eternity, that death has no power. Second is the Book of Mormon ( A book that is ANOTHER testament of Christ and goes hand in hand with the bible.) and how it came to pass through Joesph Smith a modern prophet who restored the church through the power of God to the earth today. Where we are taught through modern revelation about Christ's visit to the America's and the fullness of the gospel. There we are given the instructions on how to return to him. I think we can all say that there has been a point in our lives where we had to fully turn to God because at the moment we feel like we have no one else, that no one else could possibly understand the pain, the darkness and how worthless and lonely we feel. But he does! Our Heavenly father loves us more then we could ever comprehend, Jesus Christ his son suffered and died for each of us individually. He knows your pains, he's felt that darkness. In this life I might not ever understand some of the trials I've had to face but we are worth so much to him and our potential is unimaginable. We must allow him to shape and mold us to what he knows we can become. Yes there will be hardships and Satan will try to bring you down. but that means you are strong! because Satan knows your potential and your weaknesses just like the Lord. And Satan is not going to try to tempt and mislead the people who are already lost, he is going to try to tear down the faith of those who are going to annoy and disturb his kingdom. This gospel to me can be described in one word...HOPE. The hope that the atonement brings, the hope that we can have an eternal family, the hope that there is more then this mortal life, the hope that we will one day be perfected and the hope that we will live with our father in heaven once again.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed with the amazing opportunity to leave on July 22 to serve a full time mission in Independence Missouri. I can't wait to share the message of truth, hope and pure joy this gospel bring.
