Hi I'm Tawni

I grew up in Nampa, Idaho in the United States. I am currently on a mission in South Carolina. I LOVE MISSIONARY WORK!!

About Me

I am someone who is an intellectual. I love to read and learn new things. I am also a BIG American history buff. I love learning and reading about the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and the writing of the US Constitution. I also have a creative personality. Drawing and music are my forte. I don't play an instrument but I create music using programs like Garage Band and others. I believe that music has power and when words fail, music speaks. I have plans to go to college and become an Audio Engineer. I love the outdoors, especially camping. If I could live in a cabin in the woods for the rest of my life I would be very happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (a Mormon) because the gospel brings a light into my life that would not be there otherwise. I can't imagine my life without the gospel in it. The thought of not being able to be with my family forever and all eternity just fills me with sorrow. What my testimony means to me is that it is a declaration of things that I personally know to be true without a shadow of a doubt. It is reminder during hard times that the gospel is true and that I know it to be true. It keeps me grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Having this testimony of the gospel helped me to be who I am today. I didn't always have one and I didn't always believe the church to be true. I went to church because it was a commandment from God and for no other reason. However through the continued efforts of my family and other adults in my life who knew my potential and didn't want to give up on me, I changed. My life changed. I strove to gain a testimony for myself that this church is the true church. It wasn't easy, not by a long shot. But I can say with a certainty that this church is God's true church. I am a Mormon because I love this gospel. I am a missionary because I desire for everyone to find the same joy that I have found.

How I live my faith

In the past, I have helped plan and execute activities for the youth to participate. I am a missionary in South Carolina and I spend my days teaching the gospel to everyone who will listen. I strive everyday to emulate my Savior in word and deed. It isn't easy but as long as I keep trying I know that it gets better.
