Hi I'm Jenzyne

I'm a Toddler's Teacher. I'm a missionary in Hong Kong China. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old and I'm from one of the beautiful islands in the Western Pacific called Saipan and grew up there. I love spending time by the beaches with family and friends. I currently live in Meridian Idaho and will be going to Brigham Young University-Idaho studying Child Psychology. I am currently serving as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hong Kong China and I'm loving it.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad joined the church when he was 17, and my mom soon accepted my dad's invitation to join the church before they got married. I was born in the church, but I didn't get baptized until when I was 8 years old. Being baptized at 8 doesn't mean that I also had that built strong testimony about the gospel. I had to work my way up through the sloped of adversary and challenges in able for me to attain the knowledge and testimony of what I know to be true now. Why am I a Mormon, you may ask? It's because I'm not perfect and I am anxious to know and understand what else I can do, according to my ability, to help pursue through our Heavenly Father's purposes here on earth. It's also because I can freely accept my flaws and imperfections while I'm trying to become a better daughter, sister, friend, neighbor, and a servant everyday; also to become a better wife, and a better mother someday. I can elaborate millions of reasons of why I am a Mormon, but the main reason is because of this truest truth that I've learned: Jesus Christ lives. He can make us see when we can't. He lifts us up when we're in our lowest state. He literally laid his life for us without any hesitation so we can live again. His church which was restored on earth by the Prophet Joseph Smith who was called of God, was also organized to help us improve and to prepare us to live in a higher dominion which doesn't exist in this fallen world, but dwells in a place where there is eternal peace and happiness, where our families meet and can be together forever. Even just by having that bit of a knowledge that there is a special place reserved for me and my family gives me peace and comfort, as I endure to do my part here on earth.

How I live my faith

I always try to be a better person everyday starting from striving to learn more about our Savior, Jesus Christ, by reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible; to obtaining more knowledge about his restored gospel. I worked as a Toddlers' teacher at a Preschool and Childcare for 9 months and I loved it. Being a teacher doesn't mean that the kids always have something to learn from what I teach them. Just by watching them grow, and being a part of those little moments of their development have taught me so many important values that we need in life and adding the fact that I've also learned to love and understand those around me in general. Working with 16 one to two-year-old's was always a test of patience. It is a very demanding job, and definitely not a very easy age group to work with (at least for someone my age). But with the knowledge of the attributes that Jesus Christ has: charity, faith, love, virtue, patience, along-suffering, humility sympathy, temperance, kindness, diligence; working for the "terrible twos" isn't as terrible anymore. There are times when they could push me to the limit, but when I was on the verge of getting my patience-o-meter low, I've been always reminded that that's not how Jesus Christ treats the little children. Personal prayers before I start my day and after a long day has helped to keep myself on my feet, no matter how difficult the day was. It's one way that I can rely on when I feel like there's no one else I can turn to, because I know someone is listening and someone is there who knows exactly what you're going through. The knowledge that that Someone is powerful, merciful, and is generous enough to provide what you need, even at that very moment, He will make it possible for you to attain that peace and comfort that you've been asking for.
