Hi I'm Amy

I love to sing, dance, laugh and love my crazy family. I'm a sister, daughter, friend and optimist. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I enjoy anything funny, delicious, and beautiful. I love the outdoors and listening to good music. There isn't such a thing as too much ice cream and every problem can be cured with laughing enough.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my faith and owe everything to the things I was taught as a child and for the experiences I've had throughout my life that have drawn me closer to my Savior, especially in times of sadness, loneliness and heartache. Being raised in the church was a great blessing, but there came a time where I was no longer a child and had to start thinking for myself. I couldn't rely on the testimonies of my parents alone, and for awhile I really didn't know where to start. I kept trying to find happiness in all the wrong places, and eventually felt stuck. Through every sleepless night, wrong mistake and broken heart, Christ was always there for me. And he is still always there for me. Once I came to that realization, everything just made sense. Because of my faith, I can be with the family that I love for not only this life, but for the life to come after death. Because of my faith, I can become the best person that I've always wanted to be, and because of my faith, I am truly happy and content. Since then, I have made commitments to become a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and have never regretted them. The church provides perspective and hope in a world that is ever changing and chaotic. This church provides unfathomable peace and comfort, and I am a Mormon because I know all of these things to be true without a doubt.

How I live my faith

I was born and raised in the church throughout my entire life, which is something I realize not everyone has had the opportunity to do. It has shaped so much of my character and my motivations through every aspect of my life. Because of my musical ability, I am able to help organize or perform musical numbers, help to run activities for single adults and just do my best to learn something new every week at church! I've recently made the decision to serve as a missionary for my church, meaning that for 18 months my life will be dedicated only to serving other people and teaching to them about what makes me the happiest, which is my faith in Jesus Christ and everything I know to be true about the LDS church. This is the only thing that can bring true happiness, and I feel as if it would be completely unfair to not share that with every single person on the Earth!

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, being a Mormon, is the happiest way to live. I live knowing I have a purpose in life, knowing exactly what it is, and helping others to discover the same thing. I enjoy a healthy lifestyle, healthy relationships and a personal relationship with a God who loves me personally for everything that I am because of what I am taught in the church. Mormons are taught to constantly care for others and to live in a way that resembles Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
