Hi I'm Matt

I was raised in Utah, I love participating in sports, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the second son in a family with three brothers. I love physical activity and playing sports. Also I must admit that I am a bit of a geek. I enjoy playing video games with my friends and seeing movies in theaters and rewatching them at home! I love listening to music and even playing some on my guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe and have a testimony of Jesus's death and resurrection. Being born into this religion and living in Utah (the LDS capital of the world) I've grown up with friends that have shared my beliefs. It's been incredible for me to grow up with them and see what great people they're becoming. Because I was born into this faith I don't have a conversion story, only stories that have helped strengthen my own testimony. I continue to follow His gospel because I know it is true. It brings me joy knowing that some day I will live with my family again, and that there is more to existence than just this life. I know that Jesus is the Christ and the Living Son of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith about how you might expect. Growing up as a young man in the Church I progressed through different callings and events. I attend church regularly every Sunday. Right now I'm preparing to leave for a full time mission. I'm leaving for Spain in April! I am so excited for this opportunity!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

In short, no, not all Mormons are required to serve a mission. In fact, none are required to serve a mission. Even though there's a strong social stigma on serving missions, especially in high LDS populated areas, serving a mission isn't for everyone. Show more Show less
