Hi I'm Michelle

I grew up in Western US. When married we lived in Eastern US for 40 years. We have five children who love the Lord. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up around horses and cattle. When a youth I learned to water ski and loved swimming. I attended Brigham Young University-Provo graduating with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught third grade. I love computers and new technology especially when it is used in doing Family History work. I have worked at the voting precincts each election day. My recent hobby consists of our five grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a 6th generation Mormon. This does not mean that I automatically decided to be a Mormon. Each person must decide for themselves if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. The process of conversion is the same for all. I studied the Book of Mormon and applied the promise at the end of the book. The promise states that if you read the book and then ask God with real intent, with a sincere heart, having faith in Jesus Christ, he will manifest the truth of it to you by the power of the Holy Ghost. I was a youth but I still remember the feeling I had when I prayed and felt the Holy Ghost confirm to my heart the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I know Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and was directed to restore Jesus Christ's Church in these latter-days. Mormons believe that families can be together forever and not separated at death. We believe that in our Temples families can be sealed together forever! I love my family so much that I want to live with them forever. This is a huge motivating factor in living the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Praying to Heavenly Father and studying the scriptures personally and also with my husband each day always brings peace to my soul. It brings the Spirit to my heart and I feel directed in the days activities. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me, knows me by name and is there to help me. Because of this I strive to be optimistic when challenges come for I know they will guide and help me. I love to serve others because it brings such happiness to my heart. I have taught as well as been a leader of little children, youth and the women at church.
