Hi I'm Jacob Dicou

I grew up in Utah. I played the saxophone throughout high school. I am now a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a missionary for the Mormon church. I'm kind of a math and science nerd and I enjoy learning how things work. I have a 3.9 GPA and I received outstanding ACT scores. I've been playing the saxophone for about five years and I've loved every minute of it. I play saxophone in my school's jazz band and I was the section leader of the saxophones in our marching band. I also enjoy making artwork out of duct tape, everything from wallets to pictures to flowers to bookmarks.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of how much peace and happiness this gospel brings. Because of this gospel, I know that I can pray to my Heavenly Father and know that He hears and answers my prayers. I know that He knows what is best for me and that He loves me, you, and all of His children. I'm a Mormon because it helps me to become more like Christ. Christ set the perfect example for how to live a perfect life and He atoned for our sins perfectly, and because of that, He knows how to help imperfect people become perfect like Him. Being a Mormon helps me better understand Him and why He was so caring and loving to other people.

How I live my faith

One way I live my faith is reading every morning the copy of the Book of Mormon by my bed. I love the stories and the testimonies of the prophets that are contained within those pages. After I read a chapter from the Book of Mormon, I feel ready to face any challenge that comes my way and I feel confident that no matter what happens during that day, I will be led by the Holy Ghost and will be strengthened to overcome anything.
