Hi I'm Spencer

I was born in Georgia, moved to Michigan when I was just a few months old, grew up in Texas, and now I'm in Utah. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born into the gospel on July 9, 1997. Since my dad was an executive at Chrysler Financial, we had to move around quite a bit because of the demands of his work. A few months after I was born, we moved to the northern part of the United States. As a baby, I was extremely sick for basically the first two years of my life and was always in and out of hospitals with my parents trying to figure out what was wrong with me. By the time I turned two, they figured out that I had complications with my tonsils. Long story short, I had them removed. After the surgery, I got a lot better, and we moved down to Texas. I basically grew up there. I loved growing up there. I had an amazing home, uplifting friends, a great school, and a wonderful family. Tragedy soon struck my family in about 2010 when my dad's kidney's started to fail. He currently goes to dialysis three times a week so his kidney's can be filtered. We hope he can get onto the transplant list soon. The only problem is that he has diabetes as well so he has to get a pancreas at the same time. Even with the challenges and struggles we go through, we still love each other very much. We band together as a family every day and trust that Heavenly Father will look over us.

Why I am a Mormon

Initially, I was born into a family that had been members of the church for a few generations, so I basically rode on the backs of my parents testimonies until I was about 16. At that point, I had seen so much pain and affliction between my brother leaving the church to turn to drugs, pain, and torment and my dad's kidneys failing. I decided I had to make a choice. Go down the path that my brother had chosen, or deepen my roots in something that I had a twig of faith in. I'm so glad these years later that I made the choice to deepen my conviction in the only true church upon this earth. Many churches have pieces of truth embedded in them, but The Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints is the only church upon the earth that contains the fullness of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ. I am more than proud to be apart of it, and eager to share it with all who would receive it.

How I live my faith

The best way I know how to live my faith is sharing the gospel because that's what the church is all about: service. Sharing the happiness that the truth of the gospel has brought me only intensifies and deepens my testimony in my Savior who is Jesus Christ. Everything that I have is because of my Father in Heaven and the Atoning sacrifice of his son, my brother, Jesus. I love him and I know how much he loves me. Were it necessary, he would descend below all of the worlds sins since Adam until the last man or woman on earth all over again because that's how much he loves us.
