Hi I'm Karen

I have an amazing husband, raised 6 children. I grew up in the church and wouldn't have it any other way! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a wife of an amazing and supportive husband. I've given birth to 5 sons and 1 daughter, who in turn have given me more daughters and another son. I love spending time with my grandchildren. I love to quilt although I'm not a professional by any means but it is a way of expressing my love for others. I love to read books. My husband and I love to hike, walk on the beach and ride our motorcycle together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and baptized when I was 8. What exposure I've had to other religions made me feel less than comfortable. I've always felt comfortable with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There is hope in it's teachings. I feel peace in the things that I've learned and continue to learn. I've lost family members including my own son in the past year and the Plan of Happiness gives me an assurance that I'll see them/him again. I feel peace in the temple and am grateful that there is a way provided for eternal families.

How I live my faith

I get the privilege of working with the nine year old boys in Cub Scouting. They are both a blessing and a challenge at the same time. I also get the privilege of keeping an exercise group going. We all have fun and do our best to get fit together. This makes fellow-shipping much more fun as well. Food preservation has been something I've been involved in all my life. Gardening, canning, dehydrating are skills that I like to help others learn as well.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Karen
My faith in God and Jesus Christ provide me a base from which to guide my life. They are a solid and sure place to turn when my life seems turned upside down. I'm grateful that I always have them in my corner when going through life's challenges. I feel my faith strengthened when I can trust them to lead and guide me. I don't have to turn to the sources of the world for information. I can turn to the source that gives me peace. My marriage is a partnership with my husband and God. With this partnership, I feel strength. I'm grateful that my husband honorably holds the Priesthood and together we can create a relationship of trust and love. We have common beliefs, we worship together, we work together, all because we both have faith in our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
