Hi I'm Caleb Allred

I am a semi-pro soccer player. I'm from the USA. I have been called to serve in Santiago Chile. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Detroit Michigan to a wonderful family! When I was five years old I moved to Idaho! I am currently finishing my senior year of High School! *I have been a soccer player since the day I could walk! I have played on the number one club team in Idaho. I have competed at the soccer state championships in 2013 and 2015 and I captained my team to a district title. My childhood dream was to play college soccer for BYU Provo just like my Dad. This January my dream was realized and I made the BYU Provo fall soccer team! It seems unreal to be a semipro soccer player! *I am involved in a lot of community and world service. When I was 14 I started an organization called Kicks for Ecuador. I teach kids in my community how to play soccer in exchange for new pairs of shoes. Kicks for Ecuador has donated over 500 pairs of shoes, $600, and food to several different orphanages in Ecuador. The children of these orphanages drive me to become a better person. Through my service opportunities I have gained a strong desire to advance medical treatments in third world countries and to combat disease and hunger everywhere. *I am deeply involved in church activities. I run a Missionary Club at my High School that encourages the youth in my area to prepare to serve missions for our church. I have prepared for a mission myself and have been called to teach the gospel in Chile! *My other hobbies include: reading, writing, academics, social activities, and traveling the world!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church brings me joy. Our gospel provides an eternal perspective on life. Imagine that you would lose your family, friends, and the knowledge you have gained after you die. Moreover, imagine that there is no way of learning and progressing beyond death. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints taught me that if I am married in the temple, my family will be sealed together forever. If I also live the gospel, I will be able to progress beyond death. I have found that as I follow Christ's example I have a greater capacity to get through trials. I pray to my Heavenly Father to enable me to get through challenges. Challenges accompany all persons on this earth. Therefore, I want to share my happiness and joy with all of the world. I also want people to know that they can be happy forever through this church. This church is kind to all. The doctrine taught in this church is unchanging and provides a beacon of light to an ever changing world. So why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because I want to be happy for all time and eternity!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of righteousness. To do this I study the holy scriptures including: The Book of Mormon, The Holy Bible, The Pearl of Great Price, and The Doctrine and Covenants. I learn from scriptures in these books and apply them into my life. I have been involved in many church leadership roles. I am currently a president of a youth group of 16-18 year old male members of my church. I have been able to encourage my group to give service, be an example of righteousness, and to develop bonds of friendship. I also live my faith by providing opportunities for youth in my area to learn about the gospel and prepare to teach it to the world. I run Missionary Club. Our goals are to read the word of God, serve our fellow men and women, educate ourselves on how to effectively teach, and to live the word of God. I attend all of my church meetings and seek to learn from them. I am devoting my age 18-20 years of my life to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people in Chile. I am so grateful for my faith and love to share the happiness I find in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!
