Hi I'm Daniel Roueche

I've lived all over America. I'm married to a wonderful woman. I'm a YA author and special educator in training. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now, I'm in full-fledged masters' student mode, working part time and going to school part time, trying to become a special education teacher, and striving to become more my like my Savior. I have a few passions in life: watching movies, writing stories, teaching children, living the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and loving my beautiful wife. I'm a simple guy who loves a good story and loves his family even more.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My parents and siblings were, and still are, valiant to the Gospel. They have always been wonderful examples to me. When I moved out of the house and started college, I had the chance to decide how I wanted to live my life. Through daily prayer and scripture study, coupled with frequent fasting, I received guidance as to the kind of person I should be. Of course, when my answer came that I needed to continue living the Gospel, it wasn't a shock, because I've never doubted the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; I made drawing closer to my Heavenly Father a top priority in my life. Of course, at times I've struggled to be the best I can be, but I press on, and as I've done that, my testimony of this church and of my Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ have flourished. I've had many personal trials, like we all do, but as I've held onto my testimony, I've been blessed with the strength to press on through the storms of life. Like Peter, as long as I have my eyes on the Savior, I will not sink. I continue to be blessed everyday and I pray to my Heavenly Father that I will recognize His hand in my life, so I can express my gratitude to Him. I love my Heavenly Father. I know He is always watching out for me. He has a plan for my wife and me and He will never let us down. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ, I am given the enabling power to do all things. I am grateful that through living the Gospel my family can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings every Sunday and drink deeply from the truths I learn there. I do my best to bless the lives of those around me by always being willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. I feast daily on the words of prophets in the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and modern-day revelation, and I communicate continuously with my Father in Heaven through prayer. I live my faith by working everyday to better myself.
