Hi I'm Kesley/ Elder Newell

"Behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people." Luke 2:10

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love being out here bringing good tidings to all people who listen. Especially now during Christmas time, as we turn our hearts to the Savior of all mankind. He is my best friend. I like to make stop motion videos (move an object, take a picture, move it, etc.), I'm normally a video gamer (Not every day), I like to play football, baseball and softball, I like to shoot arrows, and also I love to sing. I am working on playing the piano, and I also make trap beats or cool dance/hip hop beats. I'm even a history geek and I'm looking into a few martial arts. I also do P90X every day, so I'm kind of a fitness nut :).

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a part of this Church. I have done some silly things in the past that made me want to leave, but then I realized that nothing outside of the Church makes anyone experience lasting joy. Family is something I cherish, and the fact that I can be with my family after I die is one of the main reasons I am a part of this church. I most of all, love my Savior Jesus Christ, and everything about this church points me to Him. I've never been closer to my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ until now, and I definitely can say that I KNOW this church is true. It is God's church. I'm so grateful for the feelings I get just when I talk about the Gospel. It's wonderful and I cannot ever go back or leave.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary. Being a missionary requires living a higher standard of conduct. I enjoy the blessings of doing so. My purpose as a missionary is to invite others to come unto Christ, by helping them receive the Restored Gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. That's how I live my faith, all day every day for the next 16 months. When I get home I will still be living high moral standards for the rest of my life.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Kesley/ Elder Newell
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and it supports and verifies the bible. It is a collection of ancient writings from prophets in the Americas, who wrote by revelation. It is also evidence that Joseph smith was a prophet, for he translated it by the power of God. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Kesley/ Elder Newell
Family is so important to us because they provide a unique setting for children to learn and grow, in a place that can never be duplicated anywhere in the earth: the home. My family builds me up and comforts me in times of trial, and we have fun together! Most of all, I don't think Heavenly Father ever intended for us to be lone wanderers on this world. I am very grateful for the blessing of having a family, that I can be with forever. Show more Show less
