Hi I'm Brinley Searle

I grew up in Utah. I am currently living in China and teaching English. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attended Utah State University for a semester majoring in Health Science. I decided to take off the next semester and teach English in China. I have confirmed my previous career objective which wasn't in teaching.. I would rather play with kids than teach them. I love playing the piano, dancing, and traveling. I hope to pursue a career as a physician's assistant and practice internationally.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel gives me a purpose and simply makes me happy.

How I live my faith

Although the Mormon religion is not accepted in China, there are private meetings throughout the country. I am able to travel four hours round trip every Sunday in order to attend the service in someone's house.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Brinley Searle
A testimony is a recollection of how you have come to believe something. It usually comes from experiences and by means of the spirit. My testimony of the Gospel has been established by spiritual experiences throughout my life that have helped me to know the church is true. I have been able to have these spiritual experiences through the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Brinley Searle
Mormons believe the purpose of our life on Earth is to have experiences that we couldn't have in our previous home. Part of this Earthly experience is receiving a body, choosing between good and evil, and forming eternal families. By following this plan, we can all someday return to him and experience eternal happiness. Show more Show less
