Hi I'm Ben Wilkey

I've lived in 3 countries and 6 states. I have 6 brothers and 4 sisters. I love traveling, meeting new people and playing sports.

About Me

I have six brothers and four sisters and my siblings are my best friends. I work at Utah State University as an International Recruiter and I own a small web/graphic design business. I love traveling, meeting new people, learning about cultures and religion, trying new restaurants, discovering new music, watching movies, and playing and watching sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always believed there was a God in heaven that knows me and loves me. I know that when I pray, that He listens to me and cares about what I am going through. I don't believe that the only way to be happy in this life is to be religious, but I do believe that the Church of Jesus Christ has brought me more happiness, substance, and peace than I could have found on my own. Jesus Christ is our ultimate example and brother. Everything He taught was about loving God, loving ourselves, and loving others. I believe this is the core of our church. Put God first, improve your lives, and love and help those around us. I believe God is kind, loving, and patient with us. We can never escape His love and the smallest effort we put forth to serve Him is matched by His love and grace. I believe that the world is made up of amazing, wonderful people and that the teachings of Jesus Christ can only add to any man, woman, or child's happiness.

How I live my faith

I help connect international students new to Logan, UT with our church and the members of the community. I feel like there is a lot we can learn from each other. I believe there is so much good in the world and do everything I can to help unify and help others feel welcomed.

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Ben Wilkey
We believe that because we have been given much, it is our duty to help others. We are all brothers and sisters and if we have the means to help others, we should. The Church also promotes self-reliance and to work hard and reach our full potential. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Ben Wilkey
"Eternal Life" simply means "Life with God". Mormons believe that this life is a test and that we will be rewarded by how well we live our lives. We believe the purpose of this life is to live the best lives we can according to what we believe is right. We believe that the most happiness we can obtain in this life is with our families and following the teachings of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
