Hi I'm Deanna Smith

I am a Mormon. I am a mother of 4 children. I have been married to my husband for 26 years.

About Me

I am first and foremost a Mom. I have one granddaughter who was born stillborn last year and our daughter and her husband are now expecting our second grandchild in May. I have three daughters and one son. Two of our daughters are married. I grew up loving the farm life, riding horses, motorbikes and breathing lots of fresh air. I am a hairstylist by trade but began to work in the Property Management field 25 years ago. I have served as a YW President, a Counselor in Primary and Relief Society Presidencies, a Primary teacher, Primary Music Leader, a Sunday School Teacher, a Relief Society Teacher and a Visiting Teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that already belonged to the Church. I have always known without a doubt since I was a child of about 4 or 5 that the Church was true. I felt it in my heart and have never been able to deny it. Living the Gospel is not always easy, I want the opportunity to see my Heavenly Father and my Saviour and to be with my family forever, so those desires are what help me to choose the right and do my best. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that we have a Prophet on the Earth today to lead and guide us and I know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God.

How I live my faith

Currently I serve in the women's organization of Relief Society Presidency. I love to serve the Lord. One of my favorite areas to serve is with the children and the youth. I love to have gospel discussions with them and to see their testimony grow as they obey and exercise faith.
