Hi I'm Josh Carter

I grew up and live in Provo, Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior in High School. I am graduating May 27, then reporting to the Provo MTC on June 17 to serve in the Argentina Resistencia Mission. I love sports and the outdoors. I played basketball on a city league team this year, and spend many hours at the gym shooting hoops. During the winter I also go skiing as much as possible. This winter I had a season pass to Alta, Park City, and The Canyons. I went skiing 2-3 times a week. I love hiking, longboarding, wakeboarding, and rock climbing.

Why I am a Mormon

I love what the gospel brings to my life. The happiness and peace that come from being obedient to God's commandments are incredible. I have a testimony for myself of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and of the restored gospel on the earth today. I have felt God's love for me many times and it is such an amazing feeling to know that He really is living and loves me so much. I have made some mistakes in my life, and every time I do I feel crummy and lonely. But because of the Atonement each time I sin I am able to be made whole again by confessing and forsaking my sins and once again bring true happiness and peace into my life. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and is true. I know Heavenly Father wants us to live righteously so that we can return to live with him once more and that we need to help others along the path back to Him.

How I live my faith

I have served in many different callings as a young man. I go out and offer service to fellow ward members who are in need and visit with young men who are in need of some company. I am also a ward missionary so I go out and help ward members in their missionary efforts. I love getting other young men together to play sports or do physical activities.
