Hi I'm Valerie

I'm from Bountiful, Utah. I am a Lacrosse lover. I live in Helsinki, Finland sharing Christ's Gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a big family of nine and have three niece and nephews that I love very much. My favorite sport is Lacrosse and I played for five years. I love to run, be active, be weird and make friends. I attended Utah State University planning on going into dental hygiene. I hope to travel a lot in my future and learn more about other cultures and countries around the world. I am 1/4th Finnish and love the Finnish culture.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is what brings me the most joy in my life. I've never felt like I belonged so much with a group and deeply loved by those who surround me. Being born into the Gospel, I grew up being taught the principles of the gospel but didn't truly know for myself that the religion I had been living my whole life was true until I prayed and experienced for myself the blessings and comfort that comes from it during hardships and trials. The process of being converted is definitely not just a one time thing. It is something that must be a daily effort. This gospel not only helps me through the hard times in my life, but makes the good times become wonderful because I am my happiest self. I love this Gospel and feel truly blessed to be a part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be an example to others while each and every day to be more like my Savior Jesus Christ and follow His teachings. I am growing and progressing now in the Finland, Helsinki mission. I have found that no matter how small you are or might feel, our acts of kindness and small acts of expressing our faith can truly bless not only the lives of those around us, but our one lives. I try every day to change and become closer to that who the Lord wants me to become.
