Hi I'm Spencer

I am passionate about music. I love sports and competition. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a senior in high school, and will be graduating in May of 2015. High School is a super awesome time of life. There is so much to do!!! There are new people to meet, teams and clubs to be a part of, and life begins to unfold as we go through it. It is a great time. I love to play sports and to compete. I play football, and I love to wrestle. I love all of the lessons that are to be learned from it, and I love the thrill of the game. I played center on my high school team, and am the captain of the wrestling team. But my endeavors spread outside of the wrestling room; I am passionate about music. Music is life. I play the piano, guitar, ukulele, and play in a garage band - Obsidian- with some of my best friends. Music reaches to my soul and brings me so much joy and happiness. It also helps me to relax and find peace. High school can be a really stressful time, but playing the piano or guitar helps me to put those stresses and cares behind. I also have received a mission call to the New Mexico Farmington Mission!!! It is so exciting to have the opportunity to go somewhere new and teach other people about the joy that comes from the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is life-changing, and gives us purpose.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family where both of my parents and grandparents and ancestors are all members of the church. Ever since I was very little I have always enjoyed hearing stories about Jesus Christ, heroes of the Book of Mormon, and stories from the Bible. As I have grown up I have learned even more about them, and I have found what makes me truly happy. Following the example of Jesus Christ brings me true joy. Through prayer, scripture study, and earnestly seeking the truth I have come to a knowledge that I am a son of God, and He has a work for me to do. I want to serve Him, and do what the Lord commands. Now I am called as a missionary and will soon be serving the people of the Navajo Nation, and bring them the same message that has changed my life forever. I know that the Gospel can change lives, bring families together for eternity, and that Jesus Christ can change us and make us whole. Nothing we have done cannot be fixed by the Savior. He is the world's Hero. He is my Champion of Salvation, and loves me dearly. The Gospel is the ONLY true plan of happiness, and can bless the lives of everybody if they will hear and accept it.

How I live my faith

I love to serve other people in my community. Being a young man in the church gives me a lot of opportunities to serve other people, and to learn new things. In my ward I serve as a ward missionary. This means that I get to go out in my neighborhood with the missionaries and help them teach people about the gospel. I also get to meet and work with a lot of people who don't come to church a lot anymore. This gives me lots of new faces to meet and help out. It teaches me a bunch, and helps me grow closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ.
