Hi I'm Julie

I was born and raised in Utah, I am a servant of the Lord. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 5 children in my family. With wonderful parents who shared the gospel with each of us! I have three nieces and nephews and I adore them. I absolutely love working with children, right now I am going to school to become an elementary school teacher and I cannot wait until the day that I have my own class to teach. I am currently working at an elementary school as a tutor helping the students who are behind and I absolutely love it! In high school, I was involved with all of the choirs, I love singing and music so much. I was also on my high school cheer team, I love being involved with people and doing things to keep me busy. But I get to leave all this behind for a little while to Serve a mission in Washington and I'm beyond excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family, and I am truly grateful for that blessing. Although I am extremely lucky to have grown up in the religion, I like everyone else had my own struggles. Temptations hit me just like they do everyone else. I really struggled with my testimony through out high school, but I came to find that when I wasn't living the gospel I was not happy at all. So I started attending church with a purpose. I attended every single church meeting that I could and I started to really dive into the Book of Mormon. I found myself building my own testimony for the first time. I became happier than I ever had been in my entire life. I had my own testimony and I couldn't wait to share it with everyone I knew! I know that this gospel brings true happiness, I have no doubt about it! I continue to follow His gospel because it is how I am going to be with my family forever! I absolutely love my family and I couldn't imagine not being with them for all eternity! This gospel is the way to true happiness and exaltation, and we get to share that with our family forever! All we have to do is be faithful to the Lord and His commandments. This gospel is true and I will testify of that for the rest of my life! As Sister Ann Dibb beautifully put it, "I am a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it."

How I live my faith

Right now I am called to work with the youth. I am an adviser in the Mia-Maids class. These fourteen and fifteen year old girls are truly amazing and I am learning so much more from them then I think they ever will from me! But I think that is the true meaning behind a calling. I get to teach them lessons about our wonderful gospel every third Sunday. I help plan activities every Wednesday for mutual so that we can all become closer and grow our testimonies together! I have had so much fun working with all of these young ladies. But I am now preparing to serve an 18 month mission, leaving in July! My young women's leaders growing up helped me strengthen my testimony so much, and I now get to go share my own testimony of this wonderful gospel. I hope that I will be able to do the same for the youth that I work with right now.
