Hi I'm Elizabeth Olive

I grew up in California. I like spoken word poetry & sunshine. Singing & being random are my favorite pass times. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently on my mission in North Carolina, but before I left I was working as in home care giver. I went to the college of San Mateo and did my General Education classes. I went to a separate school and became a certified nurse's assistant. I'm full Tongan and my parents came to America from Tonga before I was born. I LOVE sports, especially Volleyball. I played middle hitter in middle school and High School. I love writing poetry and performing my pieces at open mics. My mom is a convert to the church, she was Seventh Day Adventist. Not a day goes by that she doesn't express how much the decision she made to be baptized into The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints has blessed her life. She is a great example to me. Growing up I was not a strong member of the Church, I leaned on the testimonies of my parents. Slowly but surely I fell away. As time passed, I started to meet with the Elders (Male Missionaries) every week. With every lesson I felt something I had never felt before, I wanted to be GOOD because I came to an understanding that the Lord loved me a lot and was sad that I had strayed from him. Now I'm on a mission sharing the Joy that I've come to know and feel everyday from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's the BEST feeling in the world, and I wouldn't want to be without it.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have read and studied The Book Of Mormon. Not only did I read and study it but I questioned it. I went to the Lord MULTIPLE times in prayer and fasting to know if this is the true church and through the Holy Spirit testifying to my heart, I KNOW it is the only true church on the earth today. Study the Doctrine with real intent to know. I promise it will make sense.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by not only studying and saying, I go out and I do what I proclaim to the world. It's one thing to say that you believe in certain things but it's a whole other ball game when you are actually DOING it. I've learned that actually living the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the easy way of life and it's very simple. As a missionary we work closely with everyone in our congregation, and we strive everyday to build the Faith of others in our community by teaching and serving them.
