Hi I'm Larry C. Nalder

I grew up on a farm in SE Idaho. After serving an LDS mission and two years in the army I became a school teacher for 33 years.

About Me

I have 6 children and 20 grandchildren that bring great joy to our lives. I enjoy woodworking and building construction. I also consider myself somewhat a handyman as I enjoy repairing furniture and househhold items. Growing up on a farm I have a great love for agriculture and farm animals. I taught Industrial Arts (shop/technology) for 33 years at the high school. After retirement my wife and I served a LDS mission for 18 months in Nauvoo Ill. We are planning to serve another mission as soon as our health issues are resolved.

Why I am a Mormon

As a boy my parents taught me the gospel and took me to church every Sunday. In high school I attended LDS seminary and in college I attended LDS Institute. My conversion has been a gradual process over many years. However my testimony has been strengthened greatly as I have served in several different callings. A strong testimony of the gospel and our Lord Jesus Christ has provided the strength and comfort that our family and our children and their families have needed in difficult and challenging times. Testimonies are developed and strengthened by study, prayer, serving others and obeying the commandments. I testify that the gospel is on the earth in its fullness and that the church is led by living prophet of our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as ward executive secretary. Most of my adult life I have been involved with Boy Scouts of America as a scoutmaster, merit badge counselor, troop committee, district committee, council advisory board. I am wood badge trained and have received the Silver Beaver Award.
