Hi I'm Brooke

I am from Utah. I love ballet dancing, reading, and beautiful music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student currently studying nursing, which is a fantastic career! I love to learn about and experience new things. One of my biggest dreams is to travel the world and see as much life and culture of the world as I can. I love meeting new people and getting to know them. Throughout my life, I have enjoyed the hobby of ballet dancing. I have developed close friendships with everyone I danced with that I still maintain today. I also enjoy reading novels, especially those in the chick-flic genre. In addition, I absolutely love beautiful music. Although I do not have much musical talent, I thrive off of listening and absorbing the beauty of music. It has so much power. More about me I am the oldest in my family and have 4 younger siblings-three sisters and a brother (who just so happens to be right in the middle). I love my family and some of the best experiences of my life have come when I have been with them. I am currently serving a mission in the Philippines!! That's just a little about me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because as I live principles and doctrines in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I am the happiest and have the most purpose in life. I have learned the answers to some of the most debated questions on this earth: why we are here and where we are going after this life. I have learned who I am and know that there is a plan and a purpose for me to fulfill. As I Mormon, I have come to know more fully Jesus Christ. I know that He lived on this earth and that He suffered for every sin, trial, pain, and discomfort that has ever been felt by every single person who has ever lived. There are no exceptions. I am so grateful for His sacrifice for me and that because of it, I am able to repent of my sins and start over with a clean slate. Because of Christ, I will never truly be alone. Even when no one else fully understands the difficulties that I am experiencing, I can know that Christ does because He experienced them. He is the only person who need ever be alone. Because of this, I can always turn to Him for guidance and comfort, and I know that He will support me and help me make it through whole. Christ is the most perfect person and as I have come to know and learned to follow His example, I understand life and my place in life better. There is an eternal plan for me. Heavenly Father, our spiritual Father, knows us so perfectly that He has sent us here to earth at the time that we will have the opportunity to grow and learn the most. I am so grateful that because there is a plan for me, I have something to work and aspire to. I know that the Prophet Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. He actually saw Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove. He restored the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ onto the earth today and translated the Book of Mormon so that the rest of us can more fully understand Christ, His purpose, and how we can become more like Him. This is my testimony and why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by magnifying my calling in my church. I served as a member of the compassionate service committee in my ward. This means that I do whatever I can to help out those around me in whatever way possible, from taking over a meal to the sick, to just being a friend and there for someone to talk to. I have the responsibility to be a friend, and I love it. I am also a visiting teacher, which means at least once a month, I go and visit two beautiful ladies and share my time and testimony with them. Those who I have visit-taught have become amazing friends. I have seen commonalities between them and myself, and we have laughed and struggled together. They have made me work to be a better person. My visiting teaching companion has also become a very close friend because of the blessing I had to serve with her. I love to do whatever I can to serve others and be a friend to all. I also had the opportunity to serve as a ward missionary, which was great because I had the opportunity to make wonderful new friends and get to know people in the ward and help strengthen them. Currently, I am serving a mission in the Philippines!
