Hi I'm Bonnie Blackburn

I am a writer, a painter, an in the rain dancer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into the covenant of the church and my family with 7 kids and faithful parents is the greatest blessing I have. I love school and learning and have gained an appreciation for art and literature. I enjoy painting and reading and journaling. I have spent the last two years as a student ambassador at USU Eastern, and plan to major is FCHD at USU after I return from serving in the Virginia Chesapeake mission. My love language is time. I am emotional and sentimental, enjoy dancing, road trips and running. I am definitely a blue personality.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter-day Saint which means I am a sinner who keeps trying. I am a Mormon because of the faith of my fathers, but more personally I am a Mormon because my spirit knows I am a daughter of God and yearns to return to him. I live the gospel because I believe that in doing so "God will make much more out of my life then I can by myself". I know that is true! I am a Mormon because I want to be a disciple of Christ and I know that he has restored his gospel, his light, and his truth in a way that we can access it. I know if we ask, we will receive, if we knock it will be opened unto us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the little things. Reading, studying, and seeking to be nourished by the scriptures. Praying to my Father in Heaven for help, assurance, and forgiveness. Going to church and the temple to help me remember, and feel, and learn. I live my faith through covenant. Living the gospel is more than just wanting to live a good life. It is to promise, to dedicate, to sacrifice, and to never give up. I live my faith by realizing that obedience is a quest and I have the choice to make it an adventure. I choose to serve, I choose to have joy, I choose to be faithful, connected, merciful, and sincere. I choose to keep kicking, keep living, and keep happy.
