Hi I'm Dameon Dilworth

I'm from Southern Idaho. I lived in a farming community, that contained mostly of Mormons, for most of my life. I love it there.

About Me

I am the first child of seven children. I enjoy my family and love to do fun activities with them. I compose music and I enjoy art. I love catering for family events that normally consists fifty people or more. I like to learn anything that is to my benefit.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but why I remain a Mormon is because I have seen how it has blessed my life. Keeping the standards, to some, are restricting but I don't view them like that. To me, the standards are there to protect us spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally. Another reason why I remained a Mormon is the hope that the Gospel brings into my life. There are so many trials that we face on this world that having the knowledge of the Gospel helps me endure them. The knowledge that families can be together for ever, and the sacrifice of our Savior who gave us an opportunity to return back to our Father in heaven, fills me with joy.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I have had many callings. I have the opportunity of being a scout assistance for the eleven year old scouts. We've built a catapult only using lashings. We have also learned to weave rope. Another calling that I have enjoyed was conducting music for the congregation.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Dameon Dilworth
The Book of Mormon is like a biography of the ancient prophets in America. You're probably thinking " How did these people get to America? " Its started with a Prophet named Lehi. He lived in Jerusalem around 600 B.C. He was told by the Lord to teach the people of Jerusalem to repent. The people didn't like this so they tried to kill him, but Lehi was able to escape. When this happened, the lord told Lehi to take his family and essentials to the wilderness. Because Lehi obeyed the Lord and told the people to repent, he was promised the land above all other lands. To find out more about this journey that Lehi and his family had to go through, read The Book of Mormon. Not only does it explain how Lehi got to america, It goes though generation after generation of his people. The reason why it is called The Book of Mormon is because one of the last ancient prophets was named Mormon and he abridged the Golden Plates. These plates consisted the writing of the ancient prophets before him. Show more Show less
