Hi I'm Stephen

I grew up in Idaho. I love to play tennis and beatbox, and I am attending college studying Neuroscience. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Stephen, I was born in Texas and am faithful to the blood that came with it. I played Tennis and ran Cross Country throughout high school. Tennis, however, is the sport of my soul(with strong traces of ping pong to accompany it in my heart). I am currently studying Neuroscience at Brigham Young University, and I am active in the acapella club and am actually the beatboxer in a group called Upbeat. Beatboxing is a means by which I can express the music that is almost constantly in my soul. Along those lines, I love to dance to electronic music and I love to play the guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, but that doesn't mean I always loved it. I went and did the things I was supposed to, but I really just did it simply to do it. My older sister was a constant reminder to me of the happiness that the gospel brings. She reminded me every night to read my scriptures and to pray, and one day, I decided that I needed to know for myself, like my sister did. I came to know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that the Book of Mormon is another testament that He lives. I prayed and God made it known to me through His spirit. I know that he will continue to guide me so that one day I can be brought back to Him.

How I live my faith

I am a local leader in my home ward, and I strive every day to live the life the Savior would have me do. He is a constant role model to me and is a constant reminder of the love I feel with every action I take in his name. I do my best to serve others and make active use of His atonement. Every day I move closer to Him.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Stephen
We go out and proselyte because we know that Christ's church is a missionary church. We do our best to share His light and love so that others may come to repent and realize the joy that He brings. We share the gospel so that everyone may feel His love and come to know Him. Show more Show less
