Hi I'm Carol

I am a wife, a mother and a grandmother.

About Me

My life centers around my family. I have been married to my amazing husband for 40 years. I was blessed to be the mother of four children, two daughters and two sons. I love being a grandmother to ten granddaughters ages eleven and under and four grandsons ranging in age from seven to four months. My children encouraged me to published a book based on the music, books, activities and challenges I created for my grandchildren to teach them about Christ and help them develop Christ-like attributes. With the help of my daughter we were able to publish a book in 2014 and share with other families and individuals the traditions that had become so important to our famiily. I also love to bike and I have spent many happy hours cycling with my husband, children, grandchildren and friends. I look forward every year to women's rides like Little Red or Wildflower Petal Fest. The longest I have ridden is 75 miles but I am still looking forward to my first century ride!

Why I am a Mormon

i am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I believe this church is the same church that Jesus Christ established when He was here upon the earth. I believe that the prophet Joseph Smith restored Christ's Church under the direction of Jesus Christ Himself. If you study the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints you will find as i have that it is organized exactly the same way Jesus Christ established when He was on the earth. I received my testimony when I was in college. I determined that I wanted to know absolutely if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the same church Jesus Christ established while He was here upon the earth. For the first time I read the entire Book of Mormon through twice and when I finished reading it the second time I knelt down by my bedside and poured out my desire to my Heavenly Father. I stayed on my knees until I received my answer--a warm assurance filled my heart and a voice spoke to me in my mind that the Book of Mormon was true. This sweet answer was the answer i needed, now I knew the Book of Mormon was true and I knew that if the Book of Mormon was true then The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was also Christ's church. My testimony has continued to grow as I have continued to study and pray about the teachings of the church including the latter-day prophets. I know President Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's spokesman here on the earth today. I have continued to have other confirmations of the truth of this gospel with that same warm comforting assurance that I received while I was in college.

How I live my faith

I am a senior missionary for my church. I live at home and spend several hours most days talking to missionaries and their church leaders on the phone about their missionary service and their adjustment now that they have been released and have returned home.
