Hi I'm Lauren Gannon

I was born and raised in Idaho, and yes I love potatoes! I love music and art and being around people. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I play the piano, and I taught lessons for several years. I also worked as a waitress for a couple years to earn money for college and a mission. I currently attend school in northern Idaho and still have no idea what I want to major in. As a poor college student, I enjoy the little things in life such as frozen yogurt, fuzzy carpet, and anything for dinner that's not Ramen noodles. My biggest dream in this life is to become a wife and a mother. I love to travel, and I have a goal to visit and do work in every temple in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I grew up singing "I Am a Child of God" and believing it. The older I got, the more my faith was solidified that this was the true church of God upon the earth today. I have never been happier than when I am following the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. To say that I have never doubted, however, would be a lie. In fact, very recently I have gone through some of the most trying experiences of my life. And there were times where I wasn't sure that I wanted to be a Mormon anymore. But I went to the Lord and offered Him all that I had left (a broken heart and a fading testimony), and He has made more of me than I could ever have made of myself. Not only has He healed all the hurt, I have never been more genuinely happy in my entire life. I know that God gives us trials to strengthen us and to turn us to Him. The more I immerse myself in the gospel, the more I feel equip to deal with the growing pains of life. I know that by putting all our trust in the Lord and giving Him everything that we are (no matter how broken we feel that we are), if we give Him the pieces, He will bless and heal us and help us overcome all that is placed before us.

How I live my faith

I have participated in several community clean-up projects, and have held several callings in the wards I've belonged to. I have taught several lessons (both youth and adult classes), and have held several leadership positions among other youth. I do my best to follow the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and treat everyone as children of our Heavenly Father.
