Hi I'm Ruth Raleigh

II am honored to have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ since my eighth birthday.

About Me

I am a wife , mother and grandmother. My life is full of many to-dos, but what makes them all enjoyable is doing them for my Heavenly Father. My husband and i are so grateful for our family, they are amazing people full of love. My duties all revolve around the care of my husband, children, and grand children. We also look to the care of our two mothers, his and mine. Our fathers passed away a few years ago. Life is full rewarding and while it does give us a stretch, we cannot imagine life without our family. We live for that goal of being a forever family. This is something we are promised for faithfully following the teachings of Jesus Christ and receiving the proper ordinances in His church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ when I was 8 . I did not know at that time how my testimony would grow. As I have learned from gospel lessons I have experienced the truth being testified to me thru the Holy Ghost, it felt good, right, and true. However the greatest testimonies have come to me through the experiences. I have Felt Heavenly Father guide me, answer my many prayers, protect me. I have been blessed to study the scriptures in the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and feel the confirmation of truth thru the Holy Ghost. As I read the Book of Mormon, it confirms my testimony of Jesus Christ and His doctrine. I need the constant food these sacred books of scriptures give to face the trials, tests and tribulations of this life. I love my family so very much, but have found that is not sufficient to be able to give them all that they need. I have found that Heavenly Father wants us to call on Him, he then helps us with His enabling power to become more than we were. He blesses me continually with my richeous hearts desires. I can not imagine living with out the loving guidance of my Heavenly Father. I am so glad to be a member of His church here on earth. I live for the time when I and my family will be together with Him thru Eternity.

How I live my faith

I have had opportunities thru my life so far to teach primary to children ages 3-12. I have also been a nursery leader to youth 18 months thru 3 years of age. Lastly I have taught the Young Women of our community ages 12-18 years. We strive teach them about their Heavenly Fathers great love for them and that they are literally his children, also what His plans for them are. I love to study the doctrine of Jesus Christ and strive to apply those teachings to my life. I have worked together with other women helping to again teach gospel lessons, make humanitarian kits for those who are in great need, and going with a companion to help watch over mothers and single sisters as a support to them.

What is the difference between attending a church and attending a temple?

Ruth Raleigh
A church is someplace anybody can attend to learn more about Jesus Christ , His gospel & to worship God. A temple is a place where only the most devoted members are allowed to attend. In the temples they make covenants with God to serve Him, they marry for time and all eternity, preform baptisms for the dead & other sacred rites. The general public can go thru a temple during an open house to see the inside. After a temple is dedicated to God it is open only to church members in good standing who have obtained a recommend.
