Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a lover of life and adventure :) and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Jordan. I'm an energetic and outgoing individual who loves life, adventure and being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I'm 21 years old, from Northern Utah and have been a member of the LDS church my whole life. I have a lot of different likes and interests including; photography/videography, traveling, meeting new people, singing, acting, dancing, scouts, camping, hiking (anything outdoors) and really life in general! :) I'm an EMT/volunteer firefighter and am currently preparing to serve as Young Performing Missionary in Nauvoo this summer :)

Why I am a Mormon

Well like I mentioned before, I love being a member of this church. My desire is that the words I share here will be sincere and that they will convey my deep belief and testimony of Jesus Christ. So, why am I a Mormon? Well for starters I was born into the church. One of the greatest blessings of my life has been my family. I have two loving parents and 5 siblings (4 brothers and 1 sister). My mother is a convert and joined the church when she was 18 and my dad has been a member his whole life. One of the key principles of the church and the Gospel is families, and I have been blessed with parents who have always tried to teach me to do what is right (though like most children I didn't always listen). The second reason I am a Mormon is because I know it is true!

How I live my faith

I believe that the purpose of this life is to gain experience, to grow and build character, and to become the best we can be. But we cannot grow unless we act upon truth. Progress is obedience to truth and I believe that Jesus Christ is the ultimate source of truth and light. So I try to live my faith by following His example. I'm not perfect, but the beauty of the Gospel is that I get to keep trying. Christ suffered in the garden and on the cross so that I could have the opportunity to repent and to try again and again. I try to read my scriptures, pray, fast and attend church regularly because each of these things brings me closer to my Heavenly Father and that is where true happiness and peace lies, with our Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ. I have a testimony of this Church and of Jesus Christ. With all my heart I know that it is true.
