Hi I'm Eric

I'm from Orem, Utah. I'm going to serve in the Manila Philippines Mission. I love sports and playing music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have four older sisters and one younger brother. I love my family. I love football and wrestling, but I like all sports and competition. I also love music. I play the piano, guitar, and I used to play the saxophone. I'm about to leave to serve in the Manila Philippines Mission. I just turned 18. After my mission, I'm going to go to Brigham Young University. I'm interested in math and science, and might end up getting a degree in mechanical engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. This church is founded on His teachings and example. I've come to know Him through the people I've interacted with in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm deeply grateful for the atonement of Christ and His forgiveness. We all sin, but He can make us whole. I love the prophets and their sweet spirits and testimonies. They truly are called of God, just like Abraham, Moses, Adam, and other prophets who came before us. Thomas S. Monson was chosen by God to guide His children and be God's mouth piece in the latter days. I love the Book of Mormon. This holy book of scripture brings peace in times of struggle, and strength in my life every day. It's just like the Bible. These two books work hand in hand. I know the Book of Mormon is true and real. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son, Jesus Christ. They showed Joseph the way to restore the true church to the earth again. I'm extremely grateful for the priesthood and for temples. We are able to make special covenants with Heavenly Father in His holy house. Although I am not yet married, I look forward to the day when I can be sealed for eternity with my spouse and future children. I'm grateful to be sealed to my parents and family now. What a special blessing God has given to us! I love the Gospel and the peace, service, love, friendship, and learning that it provides! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church on this earth. I know it, and I love it!

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving as a ward missionary, hometeacher, and seminary council member. I do my best to help other people and look for service opportunities in my neighborhood. I love the people I serve. They all know so much more than me, so it's cool to listen to what they've learned. I administer the ordinance of the sacrament every week which is really amazing. It's an amazing opportunity to know I'm doing what Jesus Christ would be doing for His brothers and sisters if He were here.
