Hi I'm Jeremy

I am hard of hearing college student. I enjoy sports, watching movies, and being with friends. I love serving people. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in Utah but spent most of my life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I love playing sports and challenging myself physically. I was born with diaphragmatic hernia, leaving me with a hole in my diaphragm and organs up in my chest cavity. I was put on a machine and given medication after my surgery. The medication caused hearing loss, and I've been wearing hearing aids since I was three years old. That experience as I grew up and continues to remind me that my life was a miracle to be alive today. I'm currently going to college to learn how to serve others and be an example to others of happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member because I prayed and sought to know if these things were true. My family was raised in the gospel and I was taught from a young age. I always believed that I had a choice to choose what to do with my life. I believed what had been taught and saw the blessing that came into my life when I followed the things that were taught from the scriptures and from the living prophets. So I knew I need to find out if it was true not just hear what others said and believed. But to evaluate how I felt, to evaluate my life and then pray and ask God if it were true. Knowing that if it was true I would follow and live as the Savior would. So I prayed knowing that God would not lead me astray and that's is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by striving to be the best I can, while understanding and striving to overcome my imperfections. It something that I work on daily. I read the scriptures that have been persevered for our study and learning. I pray to my Father in Heaven daily and go to church weekly to partake of the sacrament. But the important things I do is serve those around me and strive to be an example of following our Savior, Jesus Christ. I strive to be honest to everyone, show kindness and compassion to all no matter their background. I simple do my best to do as the Savior would.
