Hi I'm Sam

I'm a High School Student. I love sports, especially basketball and tennis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. Ever since I was a little kid I've always been out in the yard playing with my siblings and the neighborhood kids. I play basketball and tennis on my high school team.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 7 years old my dad died from a heart attack. It was totally unexpected and the doctors still don't know the cause of why it happened. It left my mom with a four kids, from the ages of 9-7 months old. When people ask me how my family and I made it through this hard challenge, I answer that it is because of my church and what we believe in. As Mormons, we know that families can be together forever. My family had been sealed in a temple before my dad passed away, so I know that I will be able to see my dad again someday. It is still really hard for me sometimes, but I know that he is watching and looking out for my family and I. That knowledge makes me want to be the best I can everyday. I know that if I follow in Jesus Christ's example and try my best, someday I will be able to see my dad again. Not only will I be able to return and see my earthly father, but I'll also be able to live with my Father in Heaven someday. He is an all-powerful God, but he is also our Father. He loves and cares about each one of us and wants us, as his children, to return to him someday.

How I live my faith

I am one of the leaders in a group of boys aged 16-18. I am also on my Stake Youth Council which is a council that helps plan fun and uplifting activities for youth ages 12-18. I am also assigned to visit two families once a month to serve them and share a message of hope.
