Hi I'm Carla

I've traveled the world and met many people. I'm retired and love to do Family History. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with 2 brothers and 2 sisters on a block with lots of kids. I like sports and enjoy walking and doing water aerobics. I went to college and worked 16 years. Now my husband and I enjoy traveling to other countries to serve missions. We lived in Puerto Rico, Brazil, and Madrid, Spain. We have 1 son and 4 daughters, and 24 grandchildren. Our life is full.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 29 my brother joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and started writing to me about the Church. I met with the missionaries and began reading the Book of Mormon. I felt such love, light and joy, and it answered questions I didn't know I had. The best thing I do each day is start the day reading the Book of Mormon. The Church gives us opportunities to serve in all different ways, and members help each other. I feel closer to the Lord, and know where I came from, why I'm here and where I'm going when I leave this life. I'll be with my family forever! What could be better!

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in the community with other Church members, doing clean up projects at schools, cemeteries, and roadsides. The Church gives me many opportunities to serve, and it gives me happiness and a sense of purpose to my life. I feel closer to God. Now I help others who are researching their ancestors. We have served 3 missions together, and are soon going to serve another, in family history.
