Hi I'm Sarah Feldermann

Went from South Dakota to Minnesota and headed to Brigham Young University - Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love writing and history. But I don't love writing about history. I'll leave that for other people while I write fiction, usually about a Mormon girl like me. I'm headed to BYU - I in the fall and I have a sister, Rachel, that is serving a mission in Argentina and my best friend Tyler is serving in Peru. I work a lot to save for college and I have my black belt in karate.

Why I am a Mormon

For a really long time I struggled with keeping the commandments, I think I was just trying to be different from my sister. I learned how hard the repentance process is, but remembering that struggle is what helps me make better decisions. I strayed from the path but I always knew in my heart that the church is true and I was making the wrong choices. I finally made the choice to follow Christ and be a faithful member of the church. I've grown closer to Christ and had my testimony strengthened from that choice. The sacrifice Christ made for us when he suffered for my sins and died for me is something I hold dear to me. I still have my own questions but I also know that in time everything will be revealed. As for following his gospel, well I know for a fact that I want a temple marriage and to be sealed with my family for time and all eternity.

How I live my faith

I love going to church. My branch is a little awkward, I've always been the only girl that talks to the young men. The others just keep to themselves! I'm always involved in setting up for activities, like linger-longers after church, the Christmas Party, an Easter Celebration that we had. Being involved and helping out is very important to me. Oh, and I tweet frequently with quotes from prophets and apostles to try to share the gospel a little bit more.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Sarah Feldermann
Christ suffered so we don't have to. He has felt the pain of all of my sins and for that I will forever be thankful. I've used the Atonement to it's fullest and it wasn't easy, but had Christ not suffered for what I had done I would have never been able to make it back to Heavenly Father. Because of what Christ has done, I don't need to feel the pain of my sins if I repent. Every night when I say my prayers I take a minute to think and ponder what I need to repent of. It's a lot! But I will always do my best to keep to the path because I hope that Christ didn't have to suffer too badly for my sins. And I always remember that when it feels like no body knows what I'm going through, Christ always does. Show more Show less
