Hi I'm Cassidy

I have a lovely family, I'm a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father, and I am preparing to serve a mission in Guayaquil Ecaudor.

About Me

I am an adventurous college student determined to make the world a better place. I love to sing, read, and talk to anyone with a minute to spare. I love spontaneous fun and getting to know new people from all over the world. I believe that everyone has a story to tell if you just take the time to listen.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a "member" since birth, but I have had a life of continual conversion. There was a point in my life when I was sad and felt a little listless. I had been told by my parents and leaders that happiness comes by living righteously and following the commandments, but it was not until this time that I really understood what that meant. I changed my attitude and my actions and I found true joy. That is why I am a Mormon. Because I want a life of happiness and peace and the only way to have that is to live by the commandments that our Father in Heaven had given us.

How I live my faith

I love serving others and reading the scriptures. I have three little brothers, so I live knowing that I am an example. I look up to others who stand firm in their faith and share their testimonies. I enjoy teaching lessons in church and sharing my love of Jesus Christ with the world around me.

What is faith?

For me, faith is hope. In the Book of Mormon the prophet Alma says that faith is to "hope for things which are not seen, which are true". In my life, faith has been a hope for a better tomorrow. Sometimes that tomorrow comes the next day, week, or month, but it always comes. Faith is having patience that our Father in Heaven knows what is best for us and will help us become our best selves if we will just put our trust in Him. Show more Show less
