Hi I'm Jack Greaves

I live in Portland, Oregon in the US. I've been drumming since 2007. Cheese is my forté. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to find humor in everything I am involved with. I am currently enrolled at BYU-Idaho, but am currently taking a few years off to serve as a full-time missionary for the LDS Church in Milan, Italy. I enjoy music. In high school I played the drums in a garage band I formed with my friends. I also dabble in piano, ukulele, and the kazoo. My favorite sports are Frisbee Golf and soccer.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I am apart of this faith is because this gospel just makes sense. Every question I've had about faith, and even big decisions in my life, I have found an answer through my scripture studies as well as my daily prayers. These answers have been confirmed to me through the power of revelation, whether that be big or small. It would be wrong to say that I have never wavered in my faith, but through the questions I have asked, the choices I have made (and the consequences that have come from them), I have found that the gospel is what brings me the most happiness. When I am in tune with the gospel, I can see a difference in my life that brings me much more happiness than when I am not, and that's the truth. While I have been on my mission and have lived so closely to the high standards of this church, I've found more room for my personality and my strengths to grow. I know that God lives. I know that this church is the church of Jesus Christ on the earth today.

How I live my faith

Through our church we can find so many ways to be active in our communities. I love volunteering at any activity the church puts on in my area, because it gives me an opportunity to meet new people and have fun doing it. Within my church, I have been able to gain a lot of leadership experience, being a leader on various activity committees I've been assigned to.
