Hi I'm Glenn

My favorite things to do are snowboarding and playing my guitar; and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the State of WA where I met my wife. I was a non-member for the first 6 years of our marriage. I have two girls and we now live in UT. After 6 years of investigating the LDS Church and being taught by so many missionaries that I can't remember them all I was finally baptized at the age of 32.

Why I am a Mormon

When I first started learning about the Church I thought it was absolutely crazy. After many years of research I finally realized that we have a Heavenly Father that is always constant. There is an order in all things and when his Son Jesus Christ came to Earth he established his Church by calling apostles to serve with him. Throughout the Bible Prophets were called to lead the Church so why would it be any different in our day? If Jesus Christ was to establish his Church on the Earth he would do so by calling a Prophet who would then call Apostles and other leaders to help him establish the Church Of Jesus Christ. Suddenly the story of Joseph Smith didn't seem like a wise tail anymore; he was called just as Prophets of old were. After reading the Book of Mormon and researching I determined it was actually more unlikely that a farm boy from upstate NY in the early 1800's came up with this on his own. Believing in something you can't see is a hard thing but I have had too many experiences that have given me the faith to know that we have Father in Heaven. We chose to come to Earth to be tried and tested; we knew we would need help so Christ our Savior agreed to be the Redeemer of the World. There is a plan for all of us and when we seek guidance to adhere to that plan we will find true happiness in the light of our Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

For many years of my life I drank, smoked and used just about every drug you can think of. Luckily my wife had enough patience and faith to put up with me for 6 rough years of marriage. Since being baptized I have served in the Church in may capacities; Scout Master, Choir Director, Youth Leader, Ward Secretary, Ward Missionary and now I am the Bishop of our Ward. I love to serve others and the LDS Church gives me the opportunity to help many people regardless of their faith.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Glenn
I was baptized at 32 after 6 years of investigating the Church. This Gospel is for everyone but I would recommend that you are 100% ready; this is your decision. No one can talk you into this; there will come a time that through study and prayer you will know it to be true. Show more Show less
