Hi I'm Nicole

Born in the Philippines, spent childhood in Wales, and now I live in Australia. I am Mormon!

About Me

I am a very passionate person, and appreciate lots of things in life; art, music, books, science, nature, fashion, food and so forth. I am a singer and am currently learning and mastering how to play the piano and the guitar. I also have a passion for learning and education. I am currently studying in University, and so far it is great! I enjoy being productive with my time and gaining knowledge in secular studies as well as spiritual studies. I enjoy doing lots of outdoor activities and sports too as well as indoor. I find hiking, horse riding and going on adventures quite fun, especially if you are with good company. Health and an overall sense of balance and well-being are the types of things I strive for in life. Moving countries, schools and houses numerous times has taught me so much and has given me the experiences and skills that I now possess and make me who I am. I have come to know that I enjoy little bits of everything and appreciate all that life has to offer.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Growing up, my testimony had always been growing off my parent's beliefs. As I grew into my young adult years, I decided for myself to learn more about the church in depth and also reflect on myself and my own beliefs and if it equates with what the church teaches. It is inevitable that people will experience trials in life, feelings of loneliness, uncertainty, doubt and despair. I found that church teachings and what the church advises us to do, truly helps in diminishing these negative emotions and helps us find peace and happiness within ourselves. We have been given the agency to search, and choose. And I choose to be a daughter of God and follow church principles. I believe I am still on my path to true conversion. I am still a diamond on the rough, but I know that the gospel in this church has blessed my life in more ways than one. I am a firm believer in finding balance in life and living to our potential and optimum health. With knowledge I have learned through studies, combined with the knowledge that the Lord loves me and principles I have applied with my life, I believe that I can achieve anything I put my mind to. And so can you.

How I live my faith

I believe that once you are a part of something big, such a the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, you must understand the importance of being a good representative of the Lord and live by being an example to others around you. I have been the ward music conductor for five years. I choose the hymns each Sunday and lead the congregation during singing. It has been such as blessing as music has always been an integral part of my life. I have recently been looking for ways to contribute to my own community by researching non-profit organisations to join such as the WWF or RSPCA and even University groups to help in some way. I always try and insert my faith and beliefs when there is an opportunity to do so. I want to inspire others and show them that the gospel brings so much happiness and joy in my life.
